Great go to spot for Cuban food. They had a variety of dish options and are quick to serve during the lunch rush. The staff was also very friendly. I got the chivo (goat) with white rice and black beans. This is the closest Cuban food I've had to my mom's homemade food- delish!

An A-OK place. I've had better. Money not well-spent here. Service is great and love the ambiance. Food was good but not great. $46 for ceviche and beef stew plus coffee, could've gotten something more worth it with that money spent. Expensive for a small portion. I recommend the place for newcomers to Cuban cuisine. The price is not worth the portion you get. Beef stew's suppose to come in a bowl, not plate. That was such a small serving for $16.50, but I'm guess throwing the rice on the side makes up for the price, I guess. Pictures attach to prove how small the portion is, definitely not worth the price. I have it 4stars because the compliments I got from the female staffs

Service was great. Your order from the steam tables and everything looks delicious. I got the special with was chicken fricasse with rice and beans. Just like mom used to make. A lot of food for $15. Had a Cuban coffee for the road, which was delicious as well I'll be back when I'm in NYC and in Midtown.

During lunch hour this place is madness so I would definitely recommend going right before the rush or towards the end which is around 1pm or order in advance. I only ordered a Cuban sandwich this time which was delicious. So simple but done very well. There's tables along the side for you to sit if you can get a seat. I would definitely come back to try other things like the oxtail platter.

Stopped in during my lunch break on a busy Thursday afternoon and got my food super quickly! Everyone working was so friendly and were engaging in conversations with the customers. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich (8/10) and it was super yummy :)) Not overly bread-y which I enjoyed !

Short and sweet, let me just say, still to this day the best Cubano I've ever had! And finally the hubby got to try it after I've been yapping about it for years, and he said it's up there with his top We were lucky to come on a day when their special was oxtail, so of course the hubby did not hesitate to order that as well, cooked perfectly! Love the friendly community feel in here, oh how I've missed Margon!

Margon is a hole in the wall in the heart of midtown. The moment you step into this narrow space, you'll enter a down to earth food business with down to earth people making your food. The ambience and vibes are iconic of a fast and delicious lunch spot. Cuban sandwich was decent. I don't think I've had many but overall not my favorite sandwich. I thought the pickle and mustard set up was interesting but the cheese just wasn't melty enough for me, the bread not as soft as I would like for the textures (pork was also a little dry). What took my interest though was the more traditional Cuban food they had going on display - their authentic food actually seemed way more appealing so I'll definitely be revisiting this place. Giving this around an 8 because the rice side that came with the sandwich - includes rice, beans, a chicken drumstick, and a plantain - was genuinely tasty! This place probably has better authentic Cuban food than they do sandwiches. Also, the owner is a sweet lady who gave us free pineapple slushees while waiting in line just for striking conversation and interest! Great service overall and promising Cuban food.
